Every demolition and construction company knows that wear and tear will eventually lead to damaged equipment. Hydraulic hammers and breakers are built to take a lot of abuse, but sometimes enough is enough. Long-term abuse and improper use can lead to cracks in your CAT hydraulic hammers. In order to get your equipment back to working as quickly as possible, here’s how we at Hydraulic Breaker Services, LLC get your equipment fixed quickly and effectively.

Step 1: Inspection. The first step of the process starts with us completely disassembling your damaged breaker. Following that, we thoroughly inspect each part for any damage. After that, we are able to provide an estimate for the parts and labor needed to repair the breaker. Once we receive approval, we begin reconditioning your equipment.

Step 2: Removal From Main Body. Before the reconditioning begins, we’ll separate the outer bracket from the main body. We then break down the outer bracket into three sections, the front tools holders, the back cap and the cylinder. Dividing the outer bracket into three sections helps us stay more organized and speeds up the restoration process.

Step 3: Remove All Components In The Cylinder Section. One of the parts separated in step two is then disassembled even more. The exterior and interior components are both removed from the cylinder, as well as the original matching access plugs. The access plugs are removed so that confirmation that the internal passages are not contaminated. The cylinder is also cleaned out while broken down into multiple sections.

Step 4: Replacement Parts. Following the cleaning of the cylinder, we add new seals and put the body back together. After inspection of the new parts, we apply a fresh coat of paint.

Step 5: Shipment. After your CAT H-160 hammer is restored to mint condition, we ship it back to your office or job site. The whole process takes on average five to seven work days.
